Holiday Fashion Sites: Looking hot in Winter.
2009.01.22
For those lucky enough to be getting away for some winter sun, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite online holiday fashion sites.
It can be difficult finding a summer wardrobe on the high street at this time of year as the majority of retailers are preoccupied with winter sales. If you do come across summer stock from last year, chances are only the unpopular sizes are left. So in my opinion, you are better off buying online when it comes to winter sun fashion.
For swimwear, I think the best websites have to be www.figleaves.com and www.cocobay.co.uk. They both offer an array of swimsuits, but my favourite so far is this Paisley Ted Baker two piece from Figleaves. It combines two key trends for Summer 2009, brights and prints.
For those on a budget, ASOS has a fantastic holiday shop and my favourite items are these Miu Miu Retro 70s sunglass. The trend for comedy sunglasses has come to an end and chic 70’s frames are back this year. Anyone wearing these frames will feel like a superstar.
Another great holiday shop is Heidiklein.com, which describes itself as “the iconic one-stop destination holiday shop”. This site is a little less friendly on the old purse strings but if you are splashing out then they are worth taking a look. My pick is this beautiful cover-up - don’t underestimate the power of a maxi dress.
Lastly footwear, if you didn’t buy a pair last year, or wore your last pair out then fear not, the gladiator sandal is another summer trend from 08 that just won’t die. Kurt Geiger just got these babies in (just £95).
