Burberry’s niche has always been to produce high end pieces with a distinctiveness that sets them apart from other top labels. This is certainly true of the Burberry Check Tote bag.
The cotton canvas tote bag has an overdyed check pattern – distinctly Burberry – complete with belted leather trim and a polished metallic barbed wire chain around top adding more of a rock edge! The two rolled leather handles are attached to branded, shiny metallic buckle attachments and has a leather base with five feet. Delve deeper and you’ll find that the Check Tote bag has plenty of room to store all of the essentials, having a canvas lining, with one central zip compartment and one interior zip pocket.
The bag is part of this years Burberry Autumn/Winter 2009 collection which featured British actress Emma Watson. Burberry’s Christopher Bailey describing Emma as “the obvious choice for this campaign, who, like the images she fronts, has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Emma’s charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.” Dimensions (if you must know!) are 40cm x 40cm x 15cm.

What a cool bag. Burberry may finally be making something decent – there usual checks are bit boring but this new one is great.
