Luella label Crisis

Luella Bartley’s Luella label ceased trading this week after it’s backer, Club 21, announced that it had reluctantly “taken the decision not to invest further in its relationship with Luella Bartley Limited”. I can’t imagine why someone would want to drop the Luella label? It seemed to be going from strength to strength, receiving rave reviews along the way and picking up a strong celebrity following. Gutted fans have already set up a “save luella” facebook group.
However, the good news for bargain hunters is that Luella’s online shop is selling the current line at considerably reduced prices.
This beautiful Gretal Dress is down from £595 to £297.50.
On a positive note, Bartley is looking to the future “We have a number of options open to us, and are considering these over the coming months.” So fingers crossed, this isn’t the last time will be hearing from the label.
