It’s a shame that MTV decided to cancel Lauren Conrad’s new reality TV show, as the title sequence to the project shows promise – it is very sweet. The reality show was going to be based around Lauren’s life as a fashion designer and was due to be a little more serious and documentary like than LC’s previous projects with MTV – the Hills and Laguna Beach. David Janollari, EVP, Head of Programming for MTV was quoted as saying to EW “She did do a pilot. There were talks about whether we could somehow manage to put together a special based on that footage but that’s also a big question mark based on her interest in that and the finances. We love her! We would love her on our network!”

Sounds to me that Lauren’s show simply didn’t have the trashy potential that current MTV shows such as Jersey Shore and 16 & pregnant have.

Audrina Patridge for Divine Rights of Denim

Audrina Patridge of The Hills fame has stepped up to become the new celebrity endorser for Divine Rights of Denim. This brand of denim is a favourite of The Hills’ girls and the good news is that unlike most designer jeans with a $200 price tag, Divine Rights of Denim are around $59-$70 and are really good quality too.

But getting back to Audrina, she has been photoshopped to hell in this picture, almost to the point where she isn’t recognisable, which poses the question – why have a celebrity endorse your product if you can’t even recognise the celebrity?

Whitney Port, NYC.

Whitney Port has such great street style; she mixes up boho and rock chick pieces to stand out as the most fashion forward of The Hills girls. Even though she is a designer girl, she doesn’t look like she’s tried too hard, which gets a thumbs up in my book.

I particularly like this picture of Whitney walking around the streets of New York. I love the contrast of the vibrant red skirt, blue checked shirt and short, gaping biker boots. She’s gone a little Daisy Duke by knotting her checked shirt at the front but brace yourselves ladies showing off the midrift is back.
